Members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, have expressed concern over the
lingering fuel scarcity across the country and called on Federal Government to find a lasting solution to end the hardship being faced by citizens.
NUJ in a communiqué at the end of its first quarterly National Executive Council, NEC meeting, hosted by the Lagos State Council, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to quickly end the sufferings of Nigerians occasioned by the fuel scarcity.
Members said they felt dissatisfied “at the avalanche of promises to end the imbroglio of fuel scarcity without success.”
The meeting, presided over by the National President, Alhaji Waheed Odusile, was attended by members of the Central Working Committee, chairmen and secretaries of councils, with Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, ex-Ogun State Governor, Chief Segun Osoba, Lagos State Information and Strategy Commissioner, Mr. Steve Ayorinde and Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr. Opeyemi Boboye in attendance at the opening ceremony.
